Coventry: An ancient city of spires, Lady Godiva, motor transport, 3 cathedrals and the jet engine. Situated in the heart of England at the focus of the country's motorway system and with a fast rail link to the capital; just 110 miles from London, 23 from Birmingham and 11 from Warwick. Most importantly, there are only 21 miles of very good tarmac between William Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon and Coventry. This city is so close to two of the country's tourist hotspots, with its own extensive list of historic and cultural features, that it is well worth giving Coventry a place on the itinerary.
